Building Networks

The National Board Council of New York became an affiliated network of the NBPTS in the Fall of 2007. It was established to provide the over arching structure and vehicle for communication about National Board Certification throughout New York State. Our hope is to have support available within one hour of every teacher in NYS.

	To support collaboration
	and continuous learning
through teacher leadership and the National Board process
	to improve student learning.

Rochester's NBCTs

In March 2011, Rochester's NBCTs, NYSUT and NBPTS staff, came together through the efforts of the Rochester's Teachers Association. They discussed teacher leadership and brainstormed ways they would be a voice in their district, and ways they could improve Rochester's schools. Photos on NYSUT's Flicker Page. As a united group they hope to present their ideas through the RTA to the district.

During the 2012-13 school year we will hold regional NBCNY Network meetings to help assist Teacher Centers, Support Providers, NBCTs in collaborations.
