NBPTS Targeted High Needs Initiative GRANT AWARDED TO THE Greater Capital Region Teacher Center on July 12,2008.
Targeted High Needs Initiative will help support teachers from schools with poverty rates of 51% or above pursue National Board Certification. Annette Romano, from the CASDA is coordinating these efforts across the state in collaboration with from Lorraine Scorsone, of the UFTTC, and Trudy Bantle, Fairport.
If the candidate is from a school in which 51% of students are eligible for free or reduce lunch, funding is available for Take One participants through the NBPTS Targeted High Needs Initiative (THNI) grant .
